June 2 at 13:00 on a unique platform under open air“Green Theater VDNKh. Stage on the Water" will host a concert of the State brass band Russia. His performance will also kick off the IV Brass Band Festival.

The open-air stage complex began operating last year and has become one of the capital’s iconic concert venues with a unique atmosphere, providing Muscovites for the first time with a unique opportunity to attend concerts in the “music on water” format. Hemispherical stage and auditorium with 747 seats located right on the pond of Ostankino Park. The entire structure resembles an amazing art object and becomes a place of attraction for all visitors to the park.

The State Brass Band of Russia is a titled orchestra with rich history, does not require additional introductions and rightfully occupies a special place in musical life Russia. For more than 45 years, almost no significant event has taken place without the participation of the orchestra, which has become an integral part of the cultural life of the capital. In 2016, the State Brass Band set a Russian record by performing the longest concert program of brass music - six hours without a break. High professional skill of musicians and an extensive and varied repertoire, which combine musical works domestic and foreign classics, brass music, pop and jazz compositions make the orchestra's performances a truly bright and unforgettable holiday.

As part of the festival at VDNKh, the State Brass Band of Russia will present special program modern popular music. You can dance, beat the beat, or just listen with your eyes closed - all the compositions are different in style and mood. A charge of optimism and joy is guaranteed to everyone!

Admission to the event is free.

The brass band festival is being held at VDNKh for the fourth time. Traditionally, its participants are the best teams, selected by voting.

Among the speakers: Silaev Valery Georgievich - head of the State Brass Band of Russia, Andrey Klyukin - producer of “Wild Mint”, member of the competition jury.

The Green Theater at VDNKh announces an intermission in connection with preparations for emergency response work in historical building. But concert program will continue at a new unusual site next door. In the summer season of 2017, the artists will perform on the Garden Pond in Ostankino Park. Mounted on pontoons, the “Stage on the Water” will open on June 29 with a performance by Diana Arbenina and Chulpan Khamatova.

The main entrance to Ostankino Park is located to the right of Count Sheremetev's palace. It is convenient to get to the park by public ground transport, there is a tram ring very close by, and a little further, there are several trolleybus routes along Korolev Street. But we do not recommend using the monorail transport system; train intervals are increased.

New concert venue It consists of an auditorium with 747 seats and a stage, which are located on two separate pontoon bases. There is a boat station on the pond, so the architects provided a channel for boats between the hall and the stage. Near the entrance to the auditorium there will be food service outlets, toilets and bicycle parking. The option of installing a rain canopy was considered, but calculations showed a high windage of the structure and deterioration of acoustics, so one can only hope that there will be no thunderclouds over Ostankino on the days of the concerts.

The opening will take place on June 29 at 20:00 by the charity program of Diana Arbenina and Chulpan Khamatova, all funds will go to the Gift of Life charity foundation, which helps children with oncological, hematological and other serious diseases. The musical and literary program “On the benefits and harms of pine nuts” was prepared specifically for this evening, the leader of the “Night Snipers” group will present acoustic versions of his songs, and Khamatova will read poetry and prose by Arbenina.

Another charity worth paying attention to is literary evening with the participation of writer Alexander Tsypkin and actor Konstantin Khabensky. It will take place on July 5, starting at 19:00. The funds raised from ticket sales will be sent to the Konstantin Khabensky Charitable Foundation to help children with cancer and other serious diseases of the brain.

On July 15, Ballet Moscow artists will perform on Garden Pond with a program of two performances - “The Seasons” and “The Rite of Spring”. The director of the ballet group, Elena Tupyseva, and choreographer Anton Kadrulev inspected the venue, noting some of the features of the stage. However, this is not the first time that Ballet Moscow has performed outside the theater walls and is ready to transform its productions taking into account the venue. Not long ago, ballet dancers danced on the platform of the Moscow metro station “Dostoevskaya” as part of the cultural and educational project “Night in the Metro”.

“When this whole idea with a scene on the water was brewing, I immediately remembered the book “Dangerous Summer” about the Moomins,” says Pyotr Nalich. - If you remember, they swam there on such big stage, one evening they staged a concert, people approached them in boats. This picture is a preset from childhood, a preset of happiness. And I thought - great, hurray, I want it, I want it."

Neoclassical, poetry, jazz

“The design is pontoon: both the auditorium and the stage are on the water,” says site curator Yulia Davydova. - The experience of last season was very successful, because the stage on the water of the Green Theater of VDNKh is located in a very picturesque place. The atmosphere here is cozy, and over the summer we received a lot of positive and even enthusiastic reviews. So this year it was decided to open this stage again. The program was compiled taking into account the experience of last year and the wishes of our beloved guests.

Throughout the season you will find a wide variety of concerts. This is also a series of neoclassics, in which Polina Osetinskaya, Ilya Beshevli and Kirill Richter will perform. And poetry evenings: for example, on June 29, the young poetess Irina Astakhova (stage name - Ah Astakhova) will perform.

There have never been such venues in Moscow - the stage and auditorium are located in the open air on the water. More precisely, on the Garden Pond of Ostankino Park. The site will open the season on June 29 and will operate until September 10.

The spherical stage will glow in the evening

Building a stage and auditorium on the water is a bit of a gamble! How will 747 people fit there? This is exactly the stated figure. But the organizers thought of everything.

There will be comfortable wooden benches, and each seat will be numbered, which will eliminate the possibility of confusion for spectators who bought tickets to the concert, say the VDNH management. - Spectators in the back rows will be as comfortable as those sitting in the stalls, since the hall is built in the shape of an amphitheater.

The stage itself and the auditorium were located on pontoons. It is worth explaining that the general structure is not attached to the bottom of the pond, which allows preserving the ecosystem of the reservoir, because it, like Ostankino Park itself, is a cultural heritage. That is, every viewer will be able to feel the water. But there is no need to worry - throughout the entire season, a team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be on duty at the site with full equipment for rescue work.

For effect, the stage was made translucent in the shape of a hemisphere, and in the evenings during concerts it will also be illuminated. Everything seems fine, but Moscow summer so unpredictable, what if it rains? It turns out that beautiful and comfortable raincoats have already been purchased for the spectators. The concert area will have bicycle parking, toilets and a cafe. The very area around Ostankino Pond will be partially blocked and only for the duration of the events, which will not affect Muscovites walking in the park.

What will take place on the new stage

From Thursday to Sunday there will be open-air operas with the participation of soloists of MAMT and the Russian Philharmonic, concerts contemporary performers. Every Friday there will be an original youth program, performances by young musicians. On Saturdays – a series of concerts foreign performers. And every Sunday - daytime jazz concerts with free entry for park visitors, evening concerts by famous neoclassical composers.

Actress Chulpan Khamatova and singer Diana Arbenina will open new scene charity concert. Especially for this evening they prepared a literary and musical program “On the benefits and harms of pine nuts.” Starts at 20.00. Ticket prices range from 1,500 to 5,000 rubles. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Gift of Life fund.
