On June 24 and 25, the Bosco Fresh Fest 2017 festival will take place on the spacious territory of the picturesque Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve in Moscow.
The festival organizers chose a location that Muscovites have known and loved since childhood to turn it into a city of art, sports, family entertainment and, of course, live music for two days. According to tradition, the event will bring together on its stage the most relevant musical groups from all over the world.

The headliner of this year's festival will be the most popular English singer John Newman. His hits Love Me Again, Feel Me Love and Not Giving In topped the world charts.
In addition, at the festival "Bosco Fresh Fest 2017" Austrians Parov Stelar and SOHN will perform. The main lineup also features living legends Roots Manuva, Morcheeba and Bravo, the original The Boxer Rebellion and Sevdaliza and young domestic performers Vougal and Antokha MC.

For those who like to dance in the rays of strobe lights and neon all night long at “Bosco Fresh Fest 2017”, the Esthetic Joys night stage will be organized, which will bring together the best electronic musicians from different corners peace. Cult British DMX Krew and Luke Vibert, experimental physicist from New York Gunnar Huslam and futuristic Voiski from France.

Johnnie Fizz Stage
In the Bazhenov Hall of the Tsaritsyno Grand Palace there will be a separate stage dedicated to DJ sets - the Johnnie Fizz Stage (for a detailed schedule of this stage, see the photo gallery on this page).
On June 24 and 25, the historical palace will specially open its doors so that festival guests can celebrate this summer’s successes with a Johnnie Fizz cocktail and dance to DJ sets by model Dasha Malygina, Moscow house bon vivant Mark Shchedrin, rare record collector Shiny Boots, and electronic producers Dima Ustinov and Andriesh Gandrabur.
A piano will also appear on the Johnnie Fizz Stage: on June 25, a unique two-hour live will take place in the format of a jam session with the participation of Ustinov, Andries, Tim Aminov, Viktor Glazunov and pianist Nikola Melnikov, one of the most gifted representatives of modern neoclassical music. The name of another, secret participant in the performance will be revealed during the performance.

The winners of the #wantnabosco competition were four bands: Sewage Sour, Dirty Talk, The Sheepray and Needshes.
Due to the fact that group The Sheepray will not be able to attend the Bosco Fresh Fest 2017, an additional vote was held, as a result of which the jury chose another winner - the group MURMUR.
How to get to Tsaritsyno Park and Bosco Fresh Fest
Method 1: get to the Tsaritsyno metro station on the Zamoskvoretskaya line of the Metro, take the first car from the center. Once you have reached your goal, follow the signs in the direction of Tsaritsyno Park. Enter the gate at the bottom of the park and go up to the palace and there you will meet the entrances to the festival and branded flags and signs.
Method 2: get to the next metro station Orekhovo, leaving the last car from the center and going up the stairs to the left. And this is how you get to the top of the park. Then you need to go along the fence to the right - this way you will reach the palace ensembleb and find the festival site.

On June 24 and 25, the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve hosted the IV annual festival contemporary music and lifestyle Bosco Fresh Fest. The scale of the festival is growing from year to year - last weekend, 68 musicians and creative teams, and the sunny weekend ended with a long-awaited show from festival headliner John Newman. However, the current season of Bosco Fresh Fest was able to boast several impressive names of participating musicians appointed as headliners. On the main stage there were performances by Parov Stelar and SOHN, Morcheeba, as well as Sevdaliza, Roots Manuva, The Boxer Rebellion, Antokha MC, Bravo and Vougal.
A pleasant surprise for fans of the Russian modern music became the Tele2 Stage. In the intimate atmosphere of the forest park, the musicians performed their compositions in the format of an acoustic concert. The new composition of the NAADE band performed here - soloist Nadezhda Gritskevich, Sergei Burukhin and former guitarist, author of the music “Dolphin” Pavel Dodonov; one of the most famous Russian indie pop groups On-The-Go, who presented their new acoustic album; Guru Groove Foundation, who recently released a series of electro-acoustic remakes of their own hits; appeared in a new format and former member“Cockroaches” Nikolai Stravinsky, performing under the name Selfieman in the genre of synthpop and indie rock, the musical experience of the journalist and successful guitarist Egor Piskunov and many others continued here. Along with famous artists, young musical groups, winners of the Bosco Fresh Fest and Tele2 #wantbosco competition, performed on the same stage.
Particular attention was given to the Johnnie Fizz Stage dance floor, which is located in the Bazhenov Hall of the Tsaritsyno Grand Palace. Historical building opened its doors for DJ sets for the first time, here on the terrace of the palace, festival guests were able to celebrate the Moscow summer with a new mix of Johnnie Fizz and dance to the sets of Dasha Malygina, Mark Shchedrin, Shiny Boots, Dima Ustinov and Andriesh Gandrabur. Later, a piano appeared on the Johnnie Fizz Stage: Dima Ustinov, Andriesh Gandrabur, Tim Aminov, Victor Glazunov and pianist Nikola Melnikov performed a unique two-hour live in the format of a jam session.
The night format of the Bosco Fresh Night festival, which listeners loved so much last season, died out loudly and on a large scale. On the stages of Esthetic Joys, S.O.V.A. Stage and LevelDva hosted performances by such leaders of the international and domestic scenes as Mall Grab, DMX Krew, Luke Vibert, Gunnar Haslam, Voiski, Cape Cod, Route 8, Leonid Lipelis and many others. Festival participants greeted the dawn with sets by metropolitan fashionistas Karina Istomina, Sasha Panika, Dasha Evseeva and Lena Pavelyeva at Abrau Music Bar with a breathtaking panoramic view of Tsaritsyn Ponds.
Hungry guests could restore their strength between performances in the food court areas, where street food corners and signature cuisines of young and talented Moscow chefs were presented. Assistance in the development of the food court area was provided by the non-profit organization “Local Food”, whose mission is to develop and support aspiring gastroenthusiasts. In addition, this weekend a real village grew up in Tsaritsino - Dymov Village, where delicious meat and fresh grilled vegetables were prepared for guests. Festival guests were able to enjoy coffee in the company of friends and great music in the Nescafe bar areas.
For guests who want not only to have a good time, but also to gain new knowledge, with the support of Tinkoff Bank, GUManitarium was organized - an area where open lectures and public talks took place with authoritative figures from various fields - Forbes editor-in-chief Nikolai Uskov, co-founder of Coffeemania Igor Zhuravlev, director cultural center ZIL Elena Melville, director of the Moscow History Museum Alina Saprykina, author of the “Your Game” project Fyodor Elyutin, Soviet and Russian art critics Olga Sviblova and others.
The Tsaritsyno estate, which was chosen as the festival site this year, gave the organizers and participants unlimited opportunities for creativity. Thus, the palace complex, located on an area of more than 100 hectares, inspired the team of Excursion Bureau No. 1 to create a unique excursion program, in which anyone could take part.
For guests ready for new bright images and bold experiments, a special beauty zone was organized. Pop-up hair salons Birdie and Chop-Chop were responsible for spectacular festival looks and perfect hairstyles. The Faux Pas Tattoo tattoo studio is also located here, organized jointly with the city website The Village, who developed exclusive sketches for tattoos, which guests of the festival could become owners of. You could throw out your emotions and leave a mark on the history of the festival at the Draw&Go stand. Here, over the course of two days, festival visitors and under the guidance of experienced artists created a giant canvas with a space illustration. The SCHOOL-community at the Brusnikin Workshop presented an immersive performance in the tent genre. The cult brand of stylish and comfortable bicycles Electra created their own musical cycling atmosphere, where anyone could create their own musical composition - sit in the saddle and pedal: vocals, guitar, bass and drums - together a whole orchestra and perfect music!
The organizers of the festival also took care of the adherents physical culture and fans of not only street sports, but also classical and even intellectual ones. The Moscow Chess Federation organized a gaming area with 10 tables for holding chess tournaments. The Russian Skateboarding Federation installed a ramp on which show competitions of the best Russian skaters and master classes were held. The fencing club “Dynamo-Moscow” together with the leading sports news agency R-Sport held a series of fencing master classes. The badminton tournament “Higher Volan 2017” was held in the gaming and summer-bright zone of the STS TV channel. The Mosigra gaming library presented more than 30 popular board games in Russia with a quick game and 5 difficult ones. In the La Boule petanque cafe area, festival participants were able to play petanque and even compete in a tournament, as well as enjoy gastronomic diversity. The youth movement "Together" held a quest in the park on the main sporting events and sporting achievements of our country. The X-Fit network of fitness clubs united volleyball fans and held a series of tournaments for everyone. The lifestyle project Yogachoice organized an area where one could relax between artist performances and spend time meditating and doing yoga. Velobeat studio conducted a series of cycle workouts to the accompaniment of an incendiary DJ and under the guidance of experienced trainers.

The Boxer Rebellion
The organizers of Bosco Fresh Fest are gradually revealing the names of participants in the Moscow summer weekend festival, which will be held this year on June 24 and 25 at the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve. Today, the lineup has been supplemented by live performances by such musicians as Morcheeba, Sevdaliza, Roots Manuva, The Boxer Rebellion and the Bravo group.
Among the star headliners of the festival is the legendary band Morcheeba. Since 1995, brothers Paul and Ross Godfrey have combined trip-hop, R'n'B, hip-hop, downtempo and even disco in their music. The brothers' music is complemented by the mesmerizing vocals of Skye Edwards. The band members love to give concerts in Russia. Performing both classic tracks and new material, they give the audience unforgettable memories of the performance every time.
Sevdaliza is a performer and songwriter of Iranian origin from Rotterdam. She began making music seriously in 2014 with Rotterdam producer Mucky. Some people call her an aspiring musician, but she doesn’t call herself a musician at all. Equal parts screenwriter, model, director, author music project and a participant in various creative collaborations, she broadcasts her philosophy in all available forms. By the time she performs at Bosco Fresh Fest 2017, her debut album will be two months old. Songs and videos often explore gender issues and the singer's very image and style is nothing more than a provocative exploration of sexuality, the body, different facets of personality and the generally accepted idea of femininity.
Roots Manuva is one of the pioneers of hip-hop in the UK, once the embodiment of the voice of the streets and - living legend. His debut album Brand New Second Hand won a MOBO Award for Best Hip-Hop Act, became a classic and, almost 20 years later, is still considered one of the most influential British hip-hop releases. In 2010, Rodney Smith took part in the very first recording of the animated group Gorillaz, and then founded his own label, Banana Klan, and became a support for countless artists. He is known for his collaborations with projects such as DJ Shadow, U.N.K.L.E., Fun Lovin’ Criminals, and The Cinematic Orchestra. In his work, the rapper mixes hip-hop, trip-hop, dub and electronics, creating non-standard cons for the industry. It is in music like this that the origins of grime can be found. The musician’s last album, entitled “Bleeds,” was released at the end of 2015, after which Rodney Smith concentrated on live performances around the world, and we are pleased to welcome him to Moscow at Bosco Fresh Fest 2017.
The Boxer Rebellion are an international, or more honestly, London-based rock band, formed at the end of the era of Radiohead and Oasis, and bringing elements of post-rock to the music charts. Producer Ethan Jones took part in the recording of the 2011 album “The Cold Still,” which means the band’s work will certainly appeal to fans of Kings of Leon, Laura Marling and Ryan Adams. The latest release, the band’s fifth album “Ocean by Ocean”, turned one year old at the end of April. This is melodic pop rock with romantic male vocals - the ideal soundtrack for summer in the city or at sea. But seriously, the band members themselves say that this is their most ambitious and mature album, including a poetic expression of the existential angst of a man who has become a father and is approaching midlife.
Well, what about the list? Russian musicians opens the cult Moscow team Bravo, which needs no introduction. Over the course of its almost 35-year history, the group has gone from underground to mainstream and, finally, avidly adored by retro fans. And the interest of the young public in timeless hits was once again fueled by such opinion makers as Zhenya Gorbunov and Katya Shilonosova from the group Glintshake. This year, finally, the first authorized biography of Bravo was published - 320 pages, to find out that the history of the group is richer and more intense than the Wikipedia “Aguzarova Period - Syutkin Period - Lenz Period”. Another good news of the year is the release of “Bravospectiva”, and this is 44 tracks, including hits, rarities and unreleased material with the participation of all the vocalists of the project. At Bosco Fresh Fest 2017, Evgeniy Khavtan, the band leader and songwriter, will be the soloist, and all of us will dance and sing along.
Electro-pop trio Vougal from St. Petersburg already appeared on the small stage of Bosco Fresh Fest in 2015 immediately after the release of their debut album, recorded in Slovenia. The sound producer was nu-disco hero Sari Havlicek. Vocalist Mikhail Zhitov also became known to many after his successful participation in the fifth season of the “Voice” project. Energetic rhythm, charm, sensual vocals and intricate lyrics in English - high-quality indie pop, giving hope for a confident future of the genre in Russia.
“In Moscow, and in general in Russia, it’s quite difficult to sing songs about how everything is fine.” Maybe that’s why Anton Kuznetsov, aka Antokha MS, was included in the list of heroes of the Afisha generation in 2016. He calls his music social activities, the goal of which is to bring health to society. The 29-year-old Muscovite conveys the romance of the courtyards of a residential area in his music. But his lyrics are not at all about crime or drugs - these are different yards and a completely different mood. Continuing his thought, Antokha says: “Why sing that everything will be fine if everything is already fine?” With his unusual hip-hop, the musician tries to make people smile, shake their heads, dance and start doing something, overcoming melancholy. This is very sincere music with simple motives. Kuznetsov’s first album was called “With all my heart.” It came out in 2011. The musician presented his follow-up album, “Kinfolk,” only 5 years later, when he had already become a real star. You can feel the positive attitude of Antokha MS on June 24 at Bosco Fresh Fest.

The nightly format of Bosco Fresh Night, which listeners loved so much last year, has found its development in the new season. On June 24, on the territory of the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve, the night program of the festival will be presented by two stages Estetic Joys and S. O. V. A Stage. The Estetic Joys stage will host performances by such leaders of the electronic scene as DMX Krew, Luke Vibert, Gunnar Haslam, Voiski and many others. DMX Krew is the pseudonym of Ed Upton, under which he has been releasing records since 1996. Six albums and huge amount During this time, the musician’s singles and EP were released under the patronage of the legendary Aphhex Twin and on the Briton’s own label, Breakin’ Records. DMX Krew's style includes many genres, but focuses more on electro-pop and breakbeat. Despite frequent misconceptions, Ed Upton has no relation to either rapper DMX or Davy DMX. The names of all the musicians mentioned refer to the Oberheim DMX drum machine, popular in the 80s.
“Everyone was listening to happy hardcore when we started. So my friends and I decided to go in a completely different direction and started making “serious” electronic music.” This is how Luke Vibert, an electronic musician who performed under many different pseudonyms, made joint tracks with Aphex Twin, and has been releasing trending dance music for more than 20 years, describes his first steps. Vibert was born in Redruth in the southwest of Great Britain. He started his musical path from the punk formation Five Minute Fashion. Later, with his school friend Jeremy Simmonds, the musician released a record that attracted the attention of the Rising High label. He released subsequent tracks for Rising High and Nunja Tune under the pseudonym Wagon Christ. In the 2000s, Vibert began recording music with Aphex Twin, simultaneously releasing tracks different styles under the aliases Plug, Amen Andrews, Kerrier District and Spac Hand Luke. In the new decade, the musician performs under his own name. In an interview, Vibert said that throughout his entire life eventful career has only one regret: “In the late 80s and early 90s, everyone wanted new things. The sampler cost approximately £2,500. And now you can use programs on your computer for free. Then I saved up all my money and bought a very cheap sampler for 1700. But I had to not sweat it.”
New York producer and DJ Gunnar Haslam has already come to Moscow to perform at the Polytechnic Museum. He is also known as a researcher in the field of physics. And the release Lebesque Measures, his third album, released in early 2017, is a reflection on a related topic: “All music comes down to quantitative analysis. Can I create a track that is not measurable? It's impossible, but I'm obsessed with the idea." Known for his atmospheric and sometimes acidic sound, Gunnar Huslam released his new album “Kalaatsakia” on June 2nd. It has strong influences from dub, dancehall and calypso, and the narrative falls apart and seems to unfold in deconstructed territory.
For several years now, producer Voiski has been working in his unique vein of techno music, balancing between experimental projects and creating his own compositions with an individual character. Of all his musical inventions, Voiski is most distinguished by the rigor of endlessly repeating loops. He combines them with harsh beats, creating an analogue vibe that goes straight to the heart of the futuristic and sentimental. All of his projects have an originality to them: from his work with the intriguing electronic duo Kartei to the experimental label Silicate Musique, where he is one of the leaders. Hungry for creativity, the producer has already released several important compositions, the echo of which still echoes across Europe and the United States. His works are released on various labels, including Parisian Construct-Reform and New York's Wt Records and L.I.E.S.
Cape Cod is a project of Ukrainian electronic musician Maxim Sikalenko. The debut album “Cult”, recorded by Metropolis London studio engineer Stuart Hawkes (Disclosure, Jassie Ware, Gorgon City, Any Winehouse), was released a year ago and immediately received recognition from the music community in Russia and the West. Route 8 is the project of multi-genre artist Gergely Szilvezter Horváth, thanks to which Hungary got on the world map of electronic music. After releasing several EPs in 2013, the lo-fi, Chicago house-influenced band caught the attention of the founder of London label Lobster Therein, which resulted in a fruitful collaboration. Gergely’s contribution to the development of the local electronic community is not limited to music creation - in collaboration with Stefan Olbricht, he launched the “This Is Our Time” project, an international platform for the promotion of Hungarian artists. Since 2015, Gergely has another project - Q3A, where he reveals a darker and more dark side his musical creativity, offering listeners intricate techno compositions.
Australian musician Jordon Alexander is known worldwide as Mall Grab. A playful name referring to the wrong way to hold a skateboard. There was especially a lot of talk about this project in 2015. Then the debut release "Feel U" immediately became a hit and attracted attention not only to Jordon, but also to the new Canadian label Collect-Call. Six months later, history repeated itself with a second release, Alone, marking the launch of Bristol label Shall Not Fade. The further, the more confident the steps are - in 2016, Jordon founded his own label to support the creativity of friends, while he himself switched from dance music, which he called “ignorant house” (ignorant house) to a more melodic story.
Leonid Lipelis is a fashionable Moscow DJ and musician, a frequent resident of Strelka, Simachev, Solyanka and Mishka. He started out with remixes of tracks by the group Pompeya, and later showed himself as talented producer and was nominated for the title of “DJ of the Year” according to Time Out magazine. Lipelis released releases on Hed Kandi, Future Classics, Gomma, Theomatic, recorded the popular record “I need it” on Lovebirds Teardrop together with Saint Petersburg Disco Spin Club, took part in the work on the albums Pompeya and SBPC.
From year to year, Bosco Fresh Fest never ceases to amaze its guests with bright and memorable performances. Previously, the organizers had already announced the names of the star headliners of the day's programs, they were John Newman, Parov Stelar and SOHN, Morcheeba, Sevdaliza, Roots Manuva, The Boxer Rebellion, Antokha MC and the Bravo group. In total, more than 30 Russian and foreign musicians will perform at the festival; the names of some continue to be kept secret.
The Tsaritsyno estate, the festival site chosen this year, will give organizers and participants unlimited opportunities for creativity. The palace complex, located on an area of more than 100 hectares, will accommodate 30 thousand guests: this is twice as much as last year. The unique landscape allows the organizers to realize the conceived fantasies: the festival will feature a pleasant recreation area by the water, a food court area, “eco-bars”, the design of which involves real trees, several music scenes, sports entertainment areas.
On the last weekend of the first month of summer, June 24 and 25, the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve will host another festival of contemporary music and lifestyle Bosco Fresh Fest. This year, the scale of the festival has doubled - our venue will accommodate 30 thousand people, in front of whom 56 musicians and creative groups will perform on 5 unique stages, including festival headliner John Newman. In addition to the obligatory musical part of the program, guests will enjoy art installations, performances by authoritative speakers from various industries, sports entertainment, an impressive food court and many other activities. 1. MUSIC PROGRAM
This year, Bosco Fresh Fest boasts several impressive names of musicians participating in the festival, appointed as headliners. Performances will take place on the main stage John Newman, Parov Stelar and SOHN, Morcheeba, as well as Sevdaliza, Roots Manuva, The Boxer Rebellion, Antokha MC, Bravo group And Vougal.
A special surprise awaits fans of the Russian contemporary scene; at the festival they will have a unique opportunity to hear their favorite musicians in an unusual performance - they will present their compositions in the format acoustic concert. The composition is more than convincing: the team NAADYA, who will take the stage with a new lineup of Nadezhda Gritskevich, Sergei Burukhin and former guitarist and author of the music for “Dolphin” Pavel Dodonov; one of the most famous Russian indie pop groups On-The-Go, presenting her new acoustic album; founded 8 years ago Guru Groove Foundation, who released a series of electro-acoustic remakes of his own hits; former member of “Cockroaches” Nikolai Stravinsky, working on a personal project Selfieman in the genre of synthpop and anti-rock; girl trio Young Adults, which combines the sounds of ukulele, trombone, tambourine and beatbox in its tracks; journalist and successful guitar performer Egor Piskunov and many others.

2. FOOD MARKET
The musical component is meaningful, but far from the only part of the overall festival program. Zone Abrau Music Bar is an additional stage of the festival, where some of the most notable Moscow DJs will perform, from the main patron of hip-hop and host of the Sunday Jam program on Megapolis FM Karina Istomina to the prodigy of keyboard music Nikola Melnikov. The site itself will be located in Milovid, an architectural monument and one of the most picturesque observation platforms in Tsaritsyno Park. On both days of the festival, starting at 15.00, speakers of the Humanities will share their opinions on pressing topics: for example, June 24 festival guests will be able to learn about the unique concepts of new generation restaurants, about sports as the basis of self-realization and how the art industry is changing in the 21st century.
