The ballet "Swan Lake" is the most lyrical of Tchaikovsky's ballets. The plot is based on a folk tale about a girl turned evil force into the bird. The young prince, having met the enchanted Odette the Swan, swears to her eternal love. This oath is the key to getting rid of magical spells. But the prince unwittingly betrays his word, deceived by Odette’s resemblance to his daughter. Evil genius. Odette is doomed to remain a Swan forever... Subsequently, the gloomy ending was changed: the prince and the swan, rushing into the waves, broke the evil spell. The action ends with a bright apotheosis.

Russian ballet is one of the symbols cultural heritage our country, one of the brands of Russia, a mandatory part of the program of any foreign tourist, coming to the state. First of all, this is P. I. Tchaikovsky’s ballet “Swan Lake”.
That is why from June 12 to August 22 “Imperial Russian Ballet” ( Artistic director Gediminas Taranda) at the invitation of the Intourist company will represent Swan Lake in Concert hall"Space".
The project was called “Swan Lake” in “Cosmos”. This is the beginning of the large program “Russian Ballet Seasons”. The presentation will take place on May 22, 23 at the Cosmos Concert Hall.
In June in Star City, in the legendary House of Cosmonauts, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary, the ballet performance “Swan Lake” will take place for cosmonauts, their families, employees of the Cosmonaut Training Center, veterans of the space industry, and residents of Star City.
At the end of the performance, the Artistic Director of the Imperial Russian Ballet, Honored Artist of Russia, Gediminas Taranda will solemnly present to the head of the Cosmonaut Training Center. Yu. A. Gagarin sets of discs with a recording of the ballet “Swan Lake” for viewing during expeditions to the ISS.
