Snow is a fragment of the Russian folklore picture of the world and an object of aesthetic development throughout the 18th - beginning of the XXI centuries In describing the time of its appearance, Russian poets of the 20th century, contemporaries of Arkady Plastov, gave preference to the first snow: “The first snow is about to fall” (David Samoilov); “And if early snow fell” (Pavel Vasiliev). In most cases, the first snow corresponds to the process of falling. N. S. Morozova believes that artistic images, which are based on the “first snow”, can be divided into two types:

The history of creation and fate of the painting

By the time he began working on the canvas, success and high awards came to the artist. In 1945, Arkady Plastov was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR, in 1946 he was awarded the Stalin Prize, 1st degree, for the paintings “Harvest” and “Haymaking” (both of which were acquired for the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery).

The theme of childhood is one of the leading ones in the artist’s work. In the paintings of Arkady Plastov, children are active participants in events: they are “active, lively, cheerful”, each has a unique personality. He himself wrote:

“I love kids. How to describe their charm? IN childish face in the open air - clarity, freshness - colors approaching the beauty of sounds. Writing children is a pleasure. You are happy and they are happy. This is obvious: the child has everything as if on a plate. When you write to an adult, your conscience torments you a little - you took up time. The kids are free, there is no such feeling here. By hook or by crook, I include children in all the pictures.”

The painting “First Snow” was painted by Arkady Plastov in 1946. Technique: oil painting on canvas. The size of the canvas is 146 by 113 centimeters. It is in the collection of the Tver Regional Art Gallery.

The plot of the painting and the features of its interpretation by the artist

The painting depicts the porch of a village house, a white birch tree “with a bare silver crown in the front garden”, a deserted village street “in the whiteness of falling snow flakes”. The children went out onto the porch to look at the first snow. The artist depicts a “tender and open girl” and an important boy “who behaves like a little man.” The children wore felt boots, which were taken from the elders, the shawl on the girl’s head was clearly someone else’s. The writer Vasily Dedyukhin in his book “Colors of Prislonikha”, dedicated to the artist, describing the plot of the painting “The First Snow”, emphasized the immediacy of the event that the artist captured: “A girl of eight or nine years old ran out with her little brother onto the porch. He is dressed for winter... And she jumped out for a minute, stuck her bare feet into oversized felt boots, threw a white scarf over her head, which she supported with both hands. And she raised her face up and looked fascinated, admiring the snowflakes, which, apparently, had been falling all night and are now falling... Happy moments are given to every person, they are sometimes short, fleeting. By capturing them on canvas, the artist performs a holy work.” Galina Leontyeva also notes that the girl threw only a scarf over her “light cotton dress,” and the boy, just in case, dressed completely in winter fashion: in a coat, felt boots and a fur hat.

Art criticism and viewers about the painting

V.I. Kostin notes the lyricism of the images and the emotional expressiveness of the color of the picture. In his opinion, the artist wanted to convey in his canvas the unforgettable sensations of freshness and novelty on the day of the first snowfall after the gray and dirty days of autumn, when the ground is covered pure snow and there is silence. The look of the girl on her face thrown back towards the falling snow is “full of quiet joy and naive surprise”, in it the viewer, according to the art critic, can easily read the experiences that he experienced in his childhood, waiting for winter, and with it - sledding, skating, festive Christmas tree and cozy evenings in heated huts.

Art critic M. S. Sitnina called the painting one of the charming, subtle and lyrical works Arkady Plastova. She believed that the artist managed to convey the freshness winter day and that silence when snowflakes fall softly and easily. From her point of view, only an artist who constantly lived in nature could do this. The children in the picture are charming, lively and observant. The artist captured their hidden joy and naive surprise.

Art critic Galina Leontyeva found motives for Sergei Yesenin’s work in the painting “The First Snow”. In her opinion, the painting correlates with the lines of the poet:

Galina Leontyeva notes “ bright feeling peace and future relaxation of nature,” which gives rise to “excitement and joy” in the soul. These feelings are intensified because they come to the viewer through the purity and spontaneity of the child’s soul. The joy and excitement of the children depicted in the picture are not clouded by sadness life experience, an adult feeling of repeated repetition of the same events... For them, “everything is new, for them the first day of winter is full of generous promises, vague premonitions of great joys.” Leontyeva believed that thanks to the painting, “it’s as if we are moving into a fairy-tale, magically beautiful kingdom full of miracles - childhood.” Without the depiction of children in the picture, it would not only not reflect the author’s intention, but also its inherent poetry. The art critic compared “First Snow,” which depicts the first day of the arrival of winter, and another painting by the artist, “Spring” (another title is “Old Village”), which depicts the day of the inevitable departure of winter. On the first canvas, the first snow is falling from the sky, on the second, large flakes of the last snow are falling to the ground.

According to Evgeny Rezepov, the charm of the painting “First Snow,” in addition to Plastov’s extraordinary skill, lies in the artist’s subtle and deep understanding of Russian nature and the Russian soul.

From the point of view of art critic Inga Filippova, “The First Snow” is one of Plastov’s most poetic works, where “in the synthesis of landscape and genre painting, a very thin unifying line was found.” Thanks to this fragile balance of two genres, the artist achieved their absolute subordination to each other. Everyday genre and the landscape are in close connection with the general concept of the picture, which is the semantic center of the canvas. At the same time, she believes that the landscape is interesting to Plastov “to the extent that it is consonant with a child’s enthusiastic state.” The painting “First Snow” is typical of Plastov’s first post-war works. She showed peace and “a special, bewitching silence.” The artist, according to Filippova, enjoys the opportunity to listen “to nature, frozen in anticipation of magic, or to what is latently maturing in one’s own soul and is so in tune with what is happening around.” The first snow is perceived by the artist himself as a miracle. Children with open souls, sincere feelings, and pure and innocent aspirations become witnesses to this miracle.

Filippova noted that the color scheme of the painting is unusual for Plastov in its laconicism:

“It is based on a comparison of dark and light spots within gray-blue, white and black in combination with ocher. The plasticity of the line plays a major role here - the characteristic bends of birch branches, the emphasized severity of the design of the log house wall, the rickety picket fence at the porch. The picturesque expressiveness of the canvas is convincing in a Plastov style. The artist managed to convey the feeling of humidity in the air, the looseness of warm snow falling thickly on the wet ground. The figures of children standing on the porch are the emotional center of the picture, the focus of the author’s comprehension of the child’s soul.”

Art critic M.V. Udaltsova notes the “Levitan mood” in the painting, “the achromatic range of colors, the silence, serenity and harmony that reign in the world.”

Painting in pedagogy and teaching methods

The canvas by Arkady Plastov has been repeatedly recommended by Soviet and modern Russian teachers and methodologists for use in lessons in secondary education. secondary school. In particular, Tatyana Gubernskaya considered it possible to use the painting to work on an essay in the 4th grade. Natalya Bezdenezhnykh offers an essay on this painting in 3rd grade. In a textbook that complies with the Federal State Educational Standard LLC, recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science Russian Federation, and included in the Federal List, the painting “First Snow” illustrates the artist’s ability to convey strong emotional states in static paintings.

In the painting by artist Plastov “The First Snow” a village house is depicted. His porch is all covered with snow, and the door is wide open. There are two children standing on the porch, a boy and a girl. They probably just woke up and saw snow falling through the window. Large flakes, carefully painted by the artist, sweep the street. But the first snow is such an event! It transforms everything around. An ordinary village landscape can turn into a house Snow Queen. You immediately want to touch the cold miracle and look at it closer. For now, the snow just lies around the house in a thick, thick layer. But soon the children will start making snowballs and making a snowman. Then real winter will begin for them.

In the description of the painting “The First Snow” by Plastov, the main characters are precisely these two children. The youngest of them, a girl, is dressed in a summer dress and felt boots. And on her head she has her mother’s or grandmother’s warm large scarf. It's a golden, summer color. In the middle of the flying snow, the girl looks like a flower. She was in such a hurry to go outside that she didn’t even put on her coat. Her joyful face can be seen in the foreground. The girl threw her head up, opened her pink mouth and admired the falling snowflakes. Her black eyes flared up, and her unruly bangs became disheveled. Her sincere joy makes me want to smile.

The boy is dressed warmer. He has a coat, felt boots, and a hat with earflaps. And he looks at snow completely differently. Concentrated and a little surprised. It seems to me that he ran out of the house not only to admire the snow. Now he will take his sister into the warmth. Let her get dressed, and then run off to play.

When I was writing an essay on the painting “The First Snow” by Plastov, I looked at it for a long time. There are a lot of beautiful things painted on it. A large birch tree grows near the house. Its branches were already covered with snow. The tree is carefully surrounded by a front garden. She is probably very dear to her owners. Among the other details I noticed, the crow walking solemnly stands out. Her black figure is clearly visible in the snow. Another house can be seen in the background of the picture. It was already heavily covered with snow. And a man on a sleigh stopped next to him. He was also captivated by the beauty of the first snow that fell.

I also really liked the colors in the painting. It is mainly white, gray and pink. They are beautifully set off by the black paint on the house and birch branches. Thanks to this, a joyful feeling is created when looking at the picture. I think in this picture the artist wanted to say that the most ordinary thing could be a holiday. The main thing is to be able to notice it, as the children did in the picture.

    Lesson progress

    I. Org. moment

    II. Update

Teacher: Today we have to open amazing world Russian painting. We will get acquainted with the work of the outstanding Russian painter A. Plastov and see his paintings.

Paul Gauguin said that paintings are a real treasure human culture. Do you agree with this statement?

Today we have to write an essay on a painting. But first, I suggest you become real scientists, into whose hands a priceless creation of a Russian artist has fallen. You and I will become pioneers who will try to reveal the secret of painting.

How did the masters manage to create their masterpieces? What techniques do artists use when creating their paintings?

Are you ready, gentlemen, scientists for discoveries? Then let's get started.

    III. Working with a painting

    1) Meet the artist

On the board is a reproduction of A. Plastov’s painting “The First Snow”.

Teacher: This is the picture we have to explore. Where do you think you should start your research?

Teacher: Gentlemen scientists. You're right. First, we need to get information about the creator of this painting.

Where do you think this kind of information can be found? (In the library, on the Internet, in art museums).

    Presentation demonstration.

Teacher: (Slide No. 1) Arkady Aleksandrovich Plastov (1873 - 1972) was born in peasant family in the village of Prislonikha (Ulyanovsk region) he inherited his talent as a painter from his grandfather, who was an icon painter.

Plastov began drawing at a young age. Most often depicted nature native land. Being very young, Plastov took an oath to himself “to be a painter and nothing else.” And he kept his oath.

Until 1930, Plastov painted political posters and illustrated works of Russian classics. But his early works were not preserved because there was a fire in the workshop and all the master’s paintings were burned.

Since 1935, the artist began to create genre paintings. And its main theme will forever be the nature of Russia, village life, the glorious work of ordinary villagers, the delightful beauty of the Motherland. (Slides No. 2-4)

    A. Plastov was often called the “singer of the peasantry.”

The years of the Great Patriotic War are also reflected in the artist’s work. Patriotic War. (slide number 5)

But until the end of my life main theme the nature of the native land, its beauty and poetry, its fragility and charm will remain. (slides No. 6-8).

    2) Preparation for the perception of the picture

Teacher: Gentlemen scientists, now look at the painting “The First Snow”.

(Students look at the picture to the music)

Tell me, does it correspond to the main theme of the artist’s work? Why did you decide this?

Students conclude that the picture also conveys the beauty of nature and the main theme is the image of the village and ordinary people.

    3) Analysis of students’ personal observations

Teacher: The painting is called "First Snow". Close your eyes for a minute and remember that day of the year when you see the first snow outside your window. What feelings are you experiencing?

Student responses (joy, amazement, surprise, delight, sadness, admiration)

Words are written on the board in the form of a cluster. (See attachment)

Teacher: Listen to what V. Bryusov wrote about the first snow. (Poem “The First Snow”) What poems do you remember about winter, about the first snow?

Students read excerpts from the works of Russian poets.

Recommendations: Students are given the task in advance to find poems, excerpts from stories about the first snow. Or you can cite texts by K. Paustovsky, poems by A. Pushkin, S. Yesenin, A. Fet about winter, ask students to read from the slides at the presentation)

    4) Vocabulary work

There is a table on the board that will be gradually filled in. The table will serve as reference material when writing an essay (See Appendix)

Teacher: Find figurative expressions about snow in the works of poets and writers.

The first row of the table is filled in.

    5) Conversation on the content of the picture

What time of year is shown in the picture?

How did you determine that it was the beginning of winter?

What time of day is shown in the picture?

The famous artist P. Picasso noted that the artist paints not what he sees, but what he feels. When you listed your emotions about the first snow, you talked about joy, surprise, admiration.

Creation of a cluster (see Appendix).

Looking at this picture, do you experience these emotions? Did the artist manage to convey these feelings?

    6) Vocabulary preparation for essays

Teacher: Now, gentlemen, scientists, the time has come to figure out what techniques the artist uses to convey feelings so vividly.

You know that every picture has 2 plans: foreground and background. What is shown in the foreground? (girl, boy, snow, porch, birch). And in the background? (crow, horse, houses, sleigh)

Try to select descriptions for each word.

For example, snow is fluffy, covered the ground, timid, dressed up the trees, dusted it.

Birch: Only part of the birch is depicted, because the main thing in the picture is the children and their delight. Powdered with snow, wrapped up, tender, large, with spreading branches.

(As the conversation progresses, the table is filled out. Ask students not to repeat themselves in the choice of words, look for new comparisons, epithets, and make up phrases and sentences.)

Teacher: Now let's look at what feelings and emotions the characters in the picture experience.

Children: surprised, the girl threw her head back to the sky, delight on her face. The boy is happy, apparently thinking that now he can have fun sledding or making a big snowman.

Crow: surprised by such a dramatic change, looking for something in the snow, wants to try it.

(The third column of the table is filled in)

Do you think the artist managed to convey the unity of living and inanimate nature? How did he achieve this? (Snow covers the trees and roofs of houses. Sleighs can already be seen in the distance. It seems that the whole earth is happy about the renewal).

    7) Analysis of artistic techniques

Teacher: And now, gentlemen, scientists, we will reveal to you the secret of creating the painting. Look carefully. What colors did the artist use? (white, brown, black, blue, light blue).

The artist uses bright colors or shades? (shades: lilac, gray-blue, grayish-pink, light brown).

Why did A. Plastov choose soft, pastel colors rather than bright ones? (To convey fragility, emphasize the freshness and purity of the first snow, a warm attitude towards the depicted.)

What tone would you call the main one? (pink)

Why did the artist choose pink? What does it convey, what emotions does it evoke? (delight, tenderness, tenderness. It helps to feel the onset of the holiday)

How does the artist convey the whiteness of snow? (blue, cyan shades)

Why do you think A. Plastov chose a vertical format for the painting? (Snow is falling from the sky. This is how the artist emphasizes the bottomlessness of the sky. He wants to convey that this is only the beginning of the holiday, the beginning of winter.)

    IV. Work on speech development

Teacher: You, gentlemen, scientists, now have to write an essay in which you will reflect all your findings. But for the essay to be competent and interesting, it is important that the words are not repeated. Dictionaries of synonyms will help us with this. Let's look for synonyms for owls that will help us avoid frequent repetitions of the same word.

Working with dictionaries. They are looking for synonyms for the words: artist, painted, picture. Write synonyms on the board.

    V. Making a plan

Teacher: In order for the essay to be coherent, we need to make a plan. I suggest this plan:

    1. Meet the artist.

    2. The first day of winter.

    3. The first snow through the eyes of an artist.

    4. Children are the main characters of the picture.

    5. Visual means of painting.

    6. My attitude.

Discussion of the plan: what applies to the introductory, main and final parts.

Teacher: I propose to finish the essay this way. (slide number 9). Choose the option that conveys your attitude. How would you finish the essay?

VI. Compilation oral history according to the picture

Students make up a story based on the picture orally.

    VII. Essay writing

Students write essays first in drafts. Self-test of essays. They rewrite it completely.

VIII. Reading and analysis of essays

Essay on the painting the first snow of Plastov, grades 5,6,7

    1 option

The first snow is a painting by Russian Soviet painter A.A. Plastov, written in 1946. The village and the life of its people are very close to him. He turns his attention to the nature that surrounds the village. In the painting, the artist showed a small section of a village street covered with the first snow.

It's early morning outside. This can be judged by the snow-covered street, on which there are no tracks of wheels. No paths trodden in the snow are visible, no smoke flows from the chimneys of the houses painted by the artist. The village is just waking up. In the foreground wooden house, on the porch there are two children - a brother and a sister. Some of them woke up earlier, looking out the window and saw the first dream. There's no time for sleep here.

Having thrown on their clothes, the children ran out onto the porch. The girl ran out onto the porch, putting on felt boots and throwing on a warm shawl. The snow continues to fall and the girl, throwing her head back, exposed her face to the falling snow. My brother managed to get dressed. He has felt boots on his feet just like his sister, a coat and a hat, most likely, his older sister put on him so that the boy could not catch a cold.

Maybe playing in the snow was the children’s first desire, but when they saw the snow-covered white street, like snowflakes falling in a fairy tale, they froze, admiring them. A crow wanders nearby, drowning in a light snowdrift. She probably doesn’t understand why the earth has changed so quickly. A magpie sits on a bare branch, which also does not understand the appearance of snow. Despite the fact that the picture is painted only in two tones, white and dark, almost black, one can feel the triumph of nature and its beauty.

The first snow is the beginning of snow days, fun games in the snow, slides, skating rink and snowballs. The snow did not have time to cover the entire ground; in some places the ground and frozen grass are visible.

    Option 2

The first snow is a picture imbued with love for one’s native land and the surrounding nature. Famous Soviet painter A.A. Plastov is the author of many paintings about the earth and people. In each of his paintings one can see his love for the people who are the main characters in his work. The artist’s paintings almost always feature children, constant participants in all events. He wrote it in 1946.

The painting by A.A. Plastov shows the first day of winter coming into its own. The first snow covered the gray ground with dried grass. It was as if he had cleared everything around. Despite the gray sky, white snowflakes falling to the ground create a picture full of freshness and novelty. In the foreground is a hut, on the porch are brother and sister who have woken up early morning, we saw the first snow through the window.

For them, snow is child's play, playing snowballs, skiing, sledding, skating. These are just fun snow games. These are children of the war years who have experienced a lot, but have not forgotten how to enjoy everything new. Having barely gotten dressed, the girl, acting like an older sister, dressed her younger brother warmly. Both children are wearing warm, fairly large felt boots and are standing on the porch, exposing their faces to the snowflakes. The girl is happy, she is delighted with the falling lace snowflakes. The boy, on the contrary, is serious, hiding his hands in his pockets. It feels like the first frost has arrived.

The white snow that fell all night covered everything around. Snow is everywhere - on the road, on the roofs of houses. It is still light, having settled on the branches of the trees, and has not bent them. The first snow surprises everyone: an astonished magpie sat on a birch branch, as if it wanted to notify everyone about the onset of winter. An unperturbed crow walks along a small snowdrift. Color contrasts, in which the picture was created, emphasize the onset of bright days, the passing of dark, difficult times into the past. Dark and white tones are the main ones, but the light rainbow tones of the coming day are noticeable in all corners of the picture.

    Option 3

The first snow is a landscape familiar to the artist from childhood on the first winter day. A.A. Plastov, Soviet artist, grew up in the village. Nature is close to him in all seasons. He is also familiar with the feeling with which children greet the first snow that falls. In the painting by A.A. Plastova snowy corner of the village. There are children on the porch of the house; according to the time the painter painted the picture in 1946, these are children of war.

Having experienced all its hardships, these children have not lost their sense of delight and joy, surprise and the bright future ahead. Children who saw falling white snowflakes outside the window glass experienced a feeling of renewal and purity. Unable to restrain themselves from their overwhelming delight, the children ran out onto the porch. The girl, like an older sister, dressed her younger brother in a coat and a hat, and on his feet were felt boots and galoshes. The kid is serious, carefully watching the snowfall. He has ahead winter games, snow slide skating, ice skating rinks.

The girl, just like her brother, put felt boots on her feet, but in a hurry, in order to quickly see the white miracle falling from the sky, she threw a down scarf over her shoulders. She raised her face, exposing it to the swirling snowflakes. This white dance captivated her. The girl is sure that the same miracle and renewal that the earth is now receiving awaits her. Despite the gray sky, the street is bright and clean, thanks to the snow that covered it. A white fluffy blanket lay on the tree branches. In addition to the sister and brother in the picture, there is one more character- boy with a sled.

He did not contain his joy and wait for his friends. Sled in hand and run across the snowy expanses. The magpie on the birch tree expresses with all its appearance amazement at the changes that have come. A raven strides importantly through the snow; she is also interested in the first snow. The painting by A.A. Plastov shows the renewal of nature. The painter emphasizes this with light strokes of warm color. Cool contrasting tones: white and black are diluted with shade pink color rising sun, yellow-brown tones of trees and bushes.

Essay on a painting in elementary school- one of the effective means of developing the speech of younger schoolchildren, revealing the creative potential of each student. The picture influences the child’s feelings and reveals to him aspects of life that the child could not encounter in his direct experience. The picture develops children's thinking, expands their horizons, enriches their vocabulary. Composing based on a picture develops children's imagination, and in this sense is a higher level in teaching composition. Children must be able to control themselves so that their fiction does not contradict reality. A careful examination of paintings, a conversation about their content, and an analysis of visual means teach one to deeply perceive works of art from the very first steps in art.

    Lesson objectives:

    • introduce the life and work of A.A. Plastov;
    • learn to “read” a picture, comprehend its content;
    • attract children's attention to the beauty of winter nature;
    • promote the emotional perception of the painting as a work of art;
    • improve the ability to select words needed to describe;
    • develop the ability to compose the final part of an essay, choose the right ending for an essay;
    • teach to relate literary text And artistic media paintings.

    Equipment:

    • material about the life and work of Plastov,
    • literary works famous authors.

    Lesson progress

    1. Preparing the teacher for the lesson. Material about the life and work of Arkady Aleksandrovich Plastov (the teacher can take it from reference materials about artists).

    2. Preparation for the perception of the picture.

Read two words on the board: first and last. Listen to yourself: how do these words make you feel? What memories and life events do you associate with the word first? (The first flower, the first sadness, the first rook, the first grief, the first snow, the first separation.)

How do you imagine the first snow? How did you see him? How does it make you feel?

    3. Comparison of personal observations children and the description of the first snow in literary works.

Listen to how K.G. Paustovsky said about the first snow: “The snow fell like glass rain falling from a Christmas tree. The earth was elegant, looking like a shy bride. The day seemed to be dozing. Snowflakes occasionally fell from the cloudy high sky. Winter has begun to rule the earth.”

And here is an excerpt from I.A. Bunin’s poem “First Snow”:

    ...It smelled like winter cold
    To the fields and forests.
    At night the storm raged,
And with dawn to the village,
To the ponds, to the deserted garden
The first snow started to fall.

The artist painted this picture in 1946. This is one of the most charming lyrical works of Arkady Aleksandrovich Plastov. He conveyed his feeling of a fresh winter day and that special state of nature that occurs at the hour of the first snowfall. Plastov knows the life of the Russian village well, and in his painting he was able to show the rural winter landscape in all its beauty and charm.

    5. Conversation on the content of the picture.

What season did the artist depict? (The beginning of winter.)

Why did you guess that this was the beginning of winter? (There are no snowdrifts, bare ground is still visible in places.)

What time of day is shown? How did you guess? (Snow fell at night, it is now morning, the children hastily ran out onto the porch, they have not yet left the house.)

Who did the artist depict in the foreground? (A girl of about ten and a boy of about seven are on the porch, enjoying the first snow. These are village kids.)

Describe them appearance. (The boy is in a coat, the girl is without outerwear, she just threw on a scarf. They were probably in a hurry. They really want to see the first snow as soon as possible. The girl’s felt boots are not the right size, apparently they dressed in a hurry. The guys raise their heads to the sky, look at the snow flakes .)

The birch tree has probably been waiting for this event for a long time, as if it was to welcome the first snow that it spread its branches so wide to the sides.)

There is another hero here - a crow. What is she worried about? (The crow near the birch tree also seems to be happy about the first snow, wants to try it.)

The artist in the picture wants to emphasize the unity of living and inanimate nature. How does this manifest itself? (Snow covers the ground, roofs of houses, tree branches. People on sleighs have already appeared in the background. It seems that nature is rejoicing, rejoicing at the first snow together with man, with everything alive on earth.)

Why did the artist show only part of the birch tree in the picture, and not the whole tree? (The birch tree is part of the winter landscape, and the artist wanted to say that the main thing in the picture is the children and their mood.)

Why did the artist use the vertical format of the painting, was this done by accident? (Snow is falling from above, the children throw back their heads, the artist wants to enhance the impression of the bottomlessness of the sky, the long flight of snowflakes.)

    Snow fluffy, silvery
It spreads like a soft carpet,
    And snowflakes are like fluff,
    They fly around merrily.

The children woke up in the morning, looked out the window and were surprised: overnight everything around them turned white. A girl and her younger brother ran out onto the porch. The girl didn’t even have time to get dressed: she threw a large warm scarf over her head and, wearing only a light dress, ran out of the hut. I managed to put my feet into felt boots. She throws her head back and looks at the falling snow. Her face expresses delight and surprise. The eyes smile cheerfully, sparkle with joy. Her brother dressed warmly: in a black jacket and pulled a hat over his head. The boy looks at the whitened street, at the white roofs of the village huts. He is also happy with the first snow. Nearby, in the front garden, an old birch tree grows. She became fluffy and beautiful. A small bush grows right there. Snow covered its lower branches and pressed it to the ground. Around the corner of the hut, part of the village street is visible. In the distance, a man with a sleigh, he also stopped to admire the snow shelters. Only a small clearing remained near the fence, next to which a gray-black crow walked, also enjoying the snow.

Joyful, surprised and happy children looked at the wonderful picture. The children were happy about winter.

In his painting the artist combines white, gray and brown paints. With this, Plastov showed the village as ordinary, everyday and at the same time elegant from the first snow. The picture was painted by a man who loves his native nature.

Snowflakes are falling from the sky like white fluff,
Covering everything around with a soft velvet carpet.

Early morning. The room is unusually light. The children woke up and saw that everything outside the window was white. It turns out that the first snow fell at night. He covered houses, fences, and the ground with a thin layer.

Joyful and happy brother and sister ran out onto the porch. The boy put on felt boots, a hat with earflaps, and a fur coat and got ready to go for a walk. He had been looking forward to the coming of winter for a long time. My sister ran out in a dress and only managed to throw a scarf over her head. There is a joyful smile on her face. She raised her head and admired the fluffy and shaggy snow covering the ground for a long time. The birch tree, yesterday still bare and transparent, now stood fluffy and beautiful. The crow walks calmly and importantly through the snow. She is looking for food. How magically nature has changed since the first snow!

The main color of the painting is pink. This color helps us feel the beauty of nature, the celebration of the first snow.
