Dima Komarov performing dancing with the stars. Dancing with the Stars: Komarov’s farewell confession captivated the audience. — How long did you live in such tense conditions?

Of all the participants in the “Dancing with the Stars” project, TV presenter Dmitry Komarov had the hardest time with numerous steps, tricks and supports. As it turned out, for an avid extreme sports enthusiast it was even easier to climb Everest than to overcome his own insecurities.

And although he got such a partner that everyone was jealous ( former member beauty contest of Alexander Kucherenko), but the couple dropped out of the show. Despite this, Komarov decided to publish a farewell word to his fans, who always supported him on the project - traditionally, in his characteristic optimistic manner.

"In any case. Thanks to love, we had a very real chance of making it to the finals. By all rights - thanks to the votes of the audience. But that would be dishonest. Yes, the show is not really about dancing, but about people and their transformation. But now, in extreme three broadcasts, I want to see exclusively a celebration of dance.... Believe me, if there were scenarios for “departure”, I would never have been let go from this show. I’m telling you not as a participant, but as a television worker and producer, and as a screenwriter and. journalist. If I did such a show, I would be happy,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

You never know where you'll fall, the presenter is sure. But without this, there would be no point in participating in such a fierce competition, which the whole country was watching.

Enormous work and enormous responsibility - this is what forced Komarov and Kucherenko to announce their withdrawal from the project after the final verdict of the judges.

Watch: Dmitry Komarov about participation in “Dancing with the Stars”

“It was not according to the format. And, you see, this is a special thrill. It is impossible to fake and edit a live broadcast. Then I looked at the recording, saw live emotions and anxiety in people’s eyes... This remains for the rest of my life and is then told with passion in the evenings grandchildren and great-grandchildren. What does not kill us makes us stronger, the Law of the Jungle,” he concluded.

Users were very touched by this revelation - everyone rushed to console the showman with warm words. And, perhaps, such an attitude from the audience is a hundred times more valuable than the coveted leadership on the floor.

It became clear again: TV viewers are not ready to let go of Dima Komarov, whom the strict jury members called in every possible way - a tree, Pinocchio or simply wooden. TV viewers respond to any, even the lowest ratings from the judges, from broadcast to broadcast by actively voting, saving Komarov from being eliminated from the project.

“Thank you all so much! From the heart. From the heart,” Dmitry says to everyone who sends SMS for him every Sunday. We talked with Komarov about which dances are most difficult for him, and also a little about personal things - about his relationship with Alexandra Kucherenko.

- Dima, why did you choose Alexander Kucherenko?

According to the project format, participants do not choose partners. But I was very lucky with Sasha. She is understanding and professional, supports me, teaches me. It's very difficult for her.

- Should there be passion, love (even if only in the head) between the partners of the show “Dancing with the Stars”?

Yes, contact is important. If you are complete strangers, you won’t even be able to rehearse together, given that it takes 4-5 hours every day. If you see your partner more than your family members, then without contact it is impossible. There must be some kind of sympathy, good human relations. If you have this, it will be easier for you. Otherwise it will be torture. The training process is very difficult. There are times when your nerves are on edge. Mutual understanding is important here. So that your partner understands your weaknesses, tries to somehow neutralize them, and you respect the fact that she has to work doubly hard because something doesn’t work out for you.

- Do you meet with Alexandra outside the court, for example, to discuss news over a cup of coffee?

Now yes. We can go to lunch after training, meet each other to discuss the next issue. For example, today Sasha came to my channel and we discussed our dance. We watched a video on YouTube together and thought about how to do it.

- What was the most difficult thing for you in the “Dancing with Stars” project?

A schedule in which we have to combine editing the new season of “The World Inside Out” and preparing for the show “Dancing with Stars.”

-What were you most afraid of?

Technical numbers. And my fears were confirmed. For me, the most difficult thing is when you need to clearly, rhythmically and, God forbid, quickly take any steps, for example, in the same samba - samba move or botafogo. You can memorize everything like a verse during rehearsals, but live you go out and immediately forget everything. Technical numbers are the hardest for me.

- Which dance is the most difficult for you?

For me now all dances are equally difficult, to be honest...

- Do you have a favorite?

In the second broadcast, I danced half of the number sitting on a bench. In the third, he was hanging, which the presenter even joked about. I even joked with the team and partner that in the next dance they should put me down so that I could sleep the entire number, and it would be much easier for me. Dance technique is very difficult for me. Therefore, if there is an opportunity due to some theater scenes, mise-en-scenes leave out part of the dance, this makes the work easier. I want you to look at me more people decided to start dancing and were not shy. Often our main problem is that we are shy and think about how we will look in the eyes of others. I hope that my example - a person who dances poorly, but does it in front of 20 million spectators - will inspire someone to start dancing.

What turned out to be more difficult for you - conquering Everest or learning some kind of dance (spending 8 hours in the rehearsal room, living through the first nervous broadcast)?

I have not yet conquered Everest, but have reached base camp. But, honestly, in terms of emotional load this is no less than an expedition. Perhaps many people think that dancing for an hour on air is not so difficult, but you can’t even imagine what colossal work is done before each broadcast. Such a schedule radically changes the usual life. Now the main place in it is occupied by dancing.

Watch the updated “Dancing with Stars” every Sunday at 21.00 on the “1+1” TV channel and follow the project news in a special topic on.

Famous TV presenter with his partner Alexandra Kucherenko left the popular project, giving way to the couple Yuri Tkach and Ilona Gvozdeva

The seventh broadcast of the popular project “Dancing with Stars” (“1+1″) ended completely unexpectedly. The jury of the show decided that the couple Yuri Tkach and Ilona Gvozdeva should leave the floor. But at the very moment when this information was announced, Dmitry Komarov and his partner Alexandra Kucherenko came out onto the floor and made an unexpected statement. “Sasha and I decided to give up our place to Yuri Tkach,” said Dmitry, leaving the audience, jury, participants and directors of the show in amazement. — For us now, all participants are like one family; we have long ceased to be competitors. Without Yura Tkach, the show will become too serious. If you are not afraid and move forward, then absolutely anyone can turn their world inside out. Friends, see you soon!”

The very next day after the broadcast Dmitry Komarov I plunged headlong into editing the next episodes of the author’s project “The World Inside Out.” At the end of summer, the presenter returned from a long trip to Japan, and episodes dedicated to the Country rising sun, will run until the New Year. “I feel confident and in my place again,” said Dmitry, plunging headlong into huge amount footage shot in Japan.

— How are you feeling after leaving the project?

- Wonderful. First of all, because I can return to my main work - the “The World Inside Out” project. This author's program, in which my presence is simply necessary. To my colleagues in lately it was quite difficult, they even said that they would be forced to send SMS to “Dance with Stars” not for me, but for the other participants. I worked on a fairly strict schedule: rehearsals during the day, and at night, until three in the morning, I was stuck in the editing room. At ten in the morning I was back on the floor.

— How long did you live in such tense conditions?

- More than two months. Serious rehearsals began two weeks before the start of the project, so I’ve been dancing since mid-August.

—Won't you miss the parquet?

— I admit, when we said goodbye on the last broadcast, we hugged, some even had tears in their eyes. Yura Tkach, who thanked me many times for my action, was especially worried. He was very confused, and I understood what an adrenaline rush he had to endure. He received the first shock when he learned that he was leaving the project, the second when he realized that he had a second chance. They say that when he was nominated, his wife and child, standing behind the scenes, burst into tears. Upon learning that Yura was leaving the show, she simply became hysterical. Then she was already crying because of the emotions overwhelming her.

- So this situation was not staged? Is everything for real?

- Certainly. This is just my decision. It was completely unexpected for my colleagues. To be honest, when Sasha and I got nominated, but still didn’t get eliminated from the project, we immediately started whispering, and I already had a plan ready. Sasha supported me. But I did not immediately announce this decision, realizing that I would disrupt the flow of the live broadcast. I just didn't have the right to do so.

This opportunity appeared only at the moment when the couple was announced who was leaving the project. And then Sasha and I burst in. I saw Yura Gorbunov’s eyes, it was all so unexpected. Until the moment we announced that we wanted to leave the project instead of Yura and Ilona, no one understood what was happening. We didn't tell the director or producer about this. I asked Sasha: “We will not harm anyone and will tell about our decision at the end of the project. Are you ready? She only replied: “I will support you.”

— How did the film crew react to what happened?

“They all came up to me, shook my hand and said: “We didn’t expect it, but it was great.” The first jury member to come up was Dima Monatic, admitting: “It was cool!” Both Ekaterina Kukhar and Vlad Yama supported our action.

*Dmitry Komarov’s partner in the project “Dancing with Stars” was Alexandra Kucherenko

— It is known that you and Yama had a conflict on the project.

— When leaving, I suggested that he leave all the negative moments only on the floor, without transferring them to real life. I understand perfectly well that the jury members are doing their job on the project. Of course, everyone is alive and breakdowns are possible. Yes, Vlad made a bad joke at my expense. I, in turn, also answered him quite sharply. But this is a human factor that cannot always be avoided. And there was no director's idea in this. At that moment when I sharply answered Vlad, my sister was sitting behind the jury. Then she admitted to me that when she saw the state in which I approached the judges’ table, I immediately understood: I’m about to arrange something. I am the kind of person who is very hard to force to do something against his wishes.

— And yet, with your caustic words addressed to Vlad Yama, you caused indignation among some fans of the show.

“I know this very well, but what can you do?” It’s just that not everyone was able to really look at what was happening. I have never denied that I have absolutely no dance experience. Unlike the other participants. Akhtem Seytablaev is an actor, he studied choreography. Yuri Tkach danced as a child. Nadya Dorofeeva is an artist, with Natasha Mogilevskaya everything is also clear. It turns out, only I was in a “different weight category.” It's like heavyweights competing in the ring with a lightweight boxer.

That's why I couldn't understand why there was such a negative attitude towards me. For some reason, people take this project too seriously as a dance project. But it’s a little bit about something else – about famous people who learn to dance. A character like me is what the show needs more than anything. The viewer is interested in how he develops. That's why the project needed me. But at some point I realized that my mission in it was completed. So the final point on the last broadcast was completely logical. It makes no sense for me to move further in “Dancing”.

- So, the children's dance club managed without you?

— I danced only a few times as a child. Once - in a camp in the Carpathians, when I was about 12. I remember then I even supported my partner, which I was very proud of. Much later, during filming in Cuba, I took salsa lessons, but it was just a game. In fact, at first I perceived the project in the same way - it was supposed to be funny, because a person is just learning. But it turns out that this is far from true for fans of the show. I am very grateful to everyone who voted for me. My fans turned out to be greater than those of other couples, otherwise I would have dropped out of the project long ago.

— Is it true that during the last broadcast you went on the floor with an injury?

- Yes. This is very strange story. On the day of the broadcast, right before going on the floor, I got frostbite. The fact is that in our couple’s dance there was a moment when I jumped up from my knees. This is quite a physically difficult trick. I've been rehearsing it all last week and, apparently, the day before the broadcast, I jumped too sharply and tore my large abdominal muscle. She became incredibly sick. At the dress rehearsal, when I repeated this jump, such pain pierced my body that sparks literally flew out of my eyes. For a minute it seemed like I couldn’t see anything. I was advised to take injections to block the pain, but nothing helped.

At the last moment, literally before the live broadcast, the doctor advised freezing the abdominal muscle with a special canister that football players use. A minute before the broadcast, they unbuttoned my shirt and I poured liquid on my abs. An ice crust appeared on my stomach. He buttoned his shirt and went out onto the floor.

After the broadcast, when I looked at my abs, appearance skin alarmed me. And the next day he went to the hospital, where the frostbitten pieces of tissue were removed and the wound was treated. They said that I had skin frostbite measuring ten by ten centimeters, second degree. I climbed Everest, but I truly experienced what it was like to have frostbite at home, in Kyiv. So now for two weeks, instead of going to rehearsals every day, I will undergo procedures in the hospital.

- But did the spray at least help?

- The most offensive thing is that no. The product did not have time to short time reach the muscle, and when I jumped again, a sharp pain pierced my whole body. So I danced, one might say, automatically. However, the physical injury received on the project was not something special for me. During my journalistic biography there were a huge number of such injuries.

When you're in the jungle, it's inevitable that you'll scratch yourself. At first, the wound begins to fester and only then heals. I had so many fractures that I can’t even begin to count them. It's just a shame that frostbite happened on dance project. It's my own fault - I overdid it with the spray. You know, it seems to me that in terms of emotional load, this project turned out to be more difficult for me than all the expeditions in “The World Inside Out.” Apparently, I just found myself in the wrong environment, where I can’t control the situation. And yet, you see, he held out even here.

— Didn’t you think that you could win “Dancing with Stars”?

- But this is not at all funny question. When Sasha and I remained on the show last broadcast, I told her: “Do you understand that if we don’t take a step back now, we can win?!” The fact is that we have a very strong support group. In addition, it is probably interesting for the audience to look at the “club-footed” dancer. But I had already turned myself inside out and couldn’t show more, so there was no point in staying. Now only really strong dance couples participate in the show.

— I admit, I haven’t thought about it yet. I am friends with Nadya Dorofeeva, she supports my charity project that helps children. It would be logical if I support her. Although, honestly, I root for all the guys who remained in the project. By and large, we had a great time together.

Last Sunday’s broadcast of “Dancing with the Stars” on “1+1” surprised not so much with the departure of Olya Polyakova, but with the reaction of the always cheerful and positive-minded Dmitry Komarov.

“Today in our show, it seems, there is a blind judge who didn’t see the passion in my dance! Vlad, if it’s not a joke, then I’m not a tree, I’m a person, a person who simply dances poorly, but studies, tries and doesn’t gives up,” Komarov emotionally spoke to Vlad Yama, drawing an analogy with the film “Scent of a Woman,” where Al Pacino’s blind hero, perhaps not perfectly, but passionately danced the tango. It turns out there was a serious reason for this, and, let’s admit, we didn’t hear it right away...

- Dima, it seemed to me that you looked upset. What pissed you off?

Did you see the reason for my explosion? I looked through the comments and understand that the audience did not fully understand everything either. Watch the Babkins' performance. The decoration of their room was a large tree. And after their performance, Yama says, in a serious tone: “I think your act was dishonest, there were three participants, Komarov is standing on the stage (pointing to a large decoration tree). Remove him from the floor and we will continue dancing.” We heard it all behind the scenes. Neither we nor the other participants even realized what it was.

- I think many TV viewers also missed it or didn’t pay attention.

Yama wanted to joke, but the joke failed. It didn't seem like a joke, and that's not just my opinion, but the opinion of all the stars who were in the red room. How can a judge allow himself to do this?! This is already a transition to personal insults. But I’m not used to being made a whipping boy.

Moreover, it is quite strange when a judge behaves like this. Firstly, there is no need to touch other participants in the room of one of the competitors. Secondly, a joke that is told for four weeks in a row becomes not funny, we all know about the “beard joke”. Yama failed to make a joke, but he managed to insult me. But I don’t allow myself to be insulted, I can fight back. I don't exaggerate my dancing abilities, I'm far from Yama, but I try and learn.

And the general mood of the judges was to “dunk”, and it looked ugly. But I wouldn’t have reacted to this if it weren’t for the comments in the Babkins’ issue.

- By the way, how do you like the comparison with Lenin that Kuhar gave?

She said that there is as much sex in my dance as in the monument to Lenin... It’s a very strange comparison, and I don’t understand - I’m the only one who doesn’t find it funny, and I’m the only one who thought that this “sparkling” humor looked, to put it mildly, strange and not in favor the person who said it?! It seems to me that the judge should evaluate technique, choreography, and if they joke, then joke understandably, kindly and without personal insults. And if the judge jokes, trying to assert himself, especially at the expense of the weakest participant in choreography, then the judge looks unworthy.

- And your phrase “beat Mogilevskaya”. Seriously?

I admit that anything can happen due to voting. Everyone understands that this is a competition of fan groups, that this show is not only about dancing, but also a show about people who come, change, progress or do not progress. I am probably the most interesting for the viewer. Because Nadya Dorofeeva, Natasha Mogilevskaya are separate cases, they are all dancers, their job is to dance on stage. Akhtem is an actor, he plays beautifully. There are things like this that help them on the show. Where do I get my skills? I get along with the natives on trees, there is no special grace or plasticity.

- Everything is given to everyone to varying degrees - for some it is easier, for others it is more difficult.

My nature is not dancing. I knew that I would look comical, but I did it to show how a person changes, despite obstacles. Not everyone agrees to laugh at themselves. But again: it’s one thing to laugh kindly, it’s another thing to resort to insults, like Yama and Kuhar.

If you judge dance with all severity, then you need to go to professional ballroom tournaments. But here you still need to understand that this is a show, and you need to look at the picture as a whole, and not just at the choreography.

For the show, someone like me is very, very necessary. I’m speaking now not as a participant, but as a television producer. And it’s clear that Mogilevskaya will dance cool. But no one knows what to expect from me: if I fall or not fall, if I get lost or if I don’t get lost...

- People should understand that learning a new genre in a week is unrealistic, don’t you think?

We have a maximum of 5 days to prepare the dance. Just imagine: how in 5 days not dancing man learn from scratch what people have been teaching for years?! I really do everything I can, sacrifice my life, edit “The World Inside Out” at night, fight the alarm clock every morning... It’s easier for me to fly out, believe me. My life won't change in any way. But I'm not going to give up or leave. If you start - go while you can go - you must go.

- It’s not that I’m tired of it and I just can’t do it?

Very often there are moments when I don’t get enough sleep, when I see that things are not working out or are not working out well. But on Saturday, when I managed to move, I even got high.

- So you can already dance at friends’ parties?

I'm afraid I'll be so oversaturated with dancing that the word "dancing" will make me shiver, not dance (smiles). Probably, in order to make me dance, my friends will have to get me very, very drunk (for those who don’t understand, it is said jokingly: Komarov doesn’t drink. - Author).

- It seems to me that Sasha takes on the entire role, there is too much of her in your dance - am I wrong?

We analyzed such comments. If only you knew how much she suffers with me! It happens that 5 o’clock is set for me by one very primitive step. I feel terribly upset. But Sashka patiently continues to teach me. I can't say that she wants to stick herself out. She is very worried and wants to make me play and change.

But we already understand what the reason is. She just looks spectacular, her outfits are usually very revealing, so during the dance the gaze involuntarily stops on her. And this, it seems to me, creates the illusion that she is the main one in the couple.

The seventh broadcast of “Dancing with the Stars” turned out to be very unpredictable. Yes, the judges of the “1+1” project were expecting such an act from Dmitry Komarov, but the fact that this would happen at this very moment... After the announcement of the judges’ results, Yuri Tkach and Ilona Gvozdeva had to leave the show. But Dmitry Komarov and Alexandra Kucherenko decided to change this result and give their place to their pair.

"For us now, all the couples are our family, we have long ceased to be competitors. Without Yura Tkach, the show will become too serious. Thanks to my partner Alexandra Kucherenko, because it was not easy for her. Thanks to all the fans who voted for us, and I ask for the funds received for SMS and phone calls for our couple, donate to charity - the treatment of a sick child,” Dima said on air.

We talked with Komarov about whether there is life after "Dancing..."

- Dima, which of you was the first to talk about refusing to participate in the show in favor of other participants?

I spoke out loud, but Sasha and I were already thinking in sync. So, we discussed something among ourselves. But yesterday a clear understanding came: it’s time!

- When were the guys announced for the nomination?

Yes, when they announced that we had passed the voting stage. At that moment, Sasha and I weren’t even happy anymore. We talked quietly, and I suggested: let's give in, because our mission is completed. Indeed, there are still strong couples on the project.

- How did Sasha take your words?

Fine. She was also in favor. This was correct from all points of view. And she fully supported me. We wanted to come up with some beautiful words, but we only managed to whisper quietly and didn’t even have time to really think.

Why didn't we say it right away? I am a television worker, and I understand what a colossal job my colleagues do: sleepless nights, calculating the show second by second, because this is a live broadcast, in which there should not be any disruptions. I respect the work of my colleagues, and ruining their show is a no-no! Therefore, I waited until the moment when it was no longer possible to disrupt anything.

- Didn’t you think that this was a little unfair to your fans who voted for you?

No. As I announced live, we will give this money to the children in my “Cup of Coffee” project. This decision came to me already on the air. I understand that this is a format that I have nothing to do with, but as an exception, I voiced such a request. Our channel does charity work and supports me and such initiatives. I think it's so fair. The fans will definitely understand me, support me and be in favor. After all, they vote for me so much that I can reach the finals and win. And this is also not entirely fair.

- Many people watched the project because of you and believe that with your departure, “Dancing...” lost a little.

Part of my audience, of course, watched because of me. But, nevertheless, the intrigue remains, there are still strong couples in choreographic terms and, it seems to me, even my fans will be interested in watching and seeing how it all ends, how the fate of Tkach, who remained in the project, will turn out...

In principle, as far as I know, this is the first precedent in the world history of the show - no one has ever left the project voluntarily.

But this is right and fair. I really showed what I wanted to show - if you are not afraid and move forward, then everyone can turn their world inside out.

Everything turned out well, only Yura Gorbunov was very surprised (laughs).

The project has just ended, so you need to breathe out, first of all, and recover.

- Get some sleep, after all?

It hasn't worked out yet. Woke up to the alarm clock. I wanted to go to work early, so I ended up going to the clinic. Yesterday I got frostbite on my stomach.

- Belly?

I tore my abdominal muscle during rehearsal. There was such pain that sparks started pouring out of my eyes. And in order to somehow minimize it, a minute before going on air we froze my abs from a spray can (the procedure is the same as for football players). And - they froze. I still laughed - I didn’t get frostbite on Everest, but on the parquet floor I did. But I’m already used to the fact that we break something, stretch it, so it’s not a problem. I think we looked decent and completed this story beautifully.

- You know, one more thing - a mustache suits you very well! All the girls in the editorial office say this.

Everyone told me this yesterday. With the mustache, everything just buzzed my ears yesterday. Everyone came up and said: Komarov, you need a mustache!

- So, maybe, yes?

A one-time look – very cool.

- Do you regret anything?

No. Everything is fine. These, of course, were two very difficult months, but now I can finally return to my main job, do what I have always done. Otherwise, the emphasis shifted very much and I only had to catch up with “The World Inside Out” at night, and devote my days to dancing.
