History of creation and composition
Back in 1988, two conscript soldiers Soviet Union Alexander Ivanov and Maxim Kochetkov brought the idea of creating a punk band to life. The song “Superstar” from the new album reached the first place prize in the “Chart Dozen” (the hit parade of “Our Radio”), and the video for this song took a confident position in the “Russian Ten” and “Twenty of the Best” on MTV- Russia.
In May 2001, the group's sixth disc was released - the concert album "ROK", recorded on the 12th anniversary of the group at the MAI KFOR on December 2, 2000. The album also included the studio song "ROCK", which gave the title to the entire album. It was for this composition that a video clip was shot by director Eldar Salovatov. This video was in hot rotation on MTV-Russia for more than 3 months and in the “Russian Ten” hit parade on MTV-Russia for more than 2 months. The song was actively supported by the Nashe Radio radio station and was in the Chart's Dozen hit parade for more than 2 months.
On August 5, 2001, the NAIV group, together with the DDT group, became the headliners of the final day of the NASHESHTVIE festival in Ramenskoye, which attracted more than 100,000 spectators. The triumphant performance of the NAIV group at the festival was broadcast on the national TV channel TV-6.
On February 6, 2002, NAIV successfully performed in a joint concert with the group "The Offspring" at the Luzhniki Sports Palace.
On April 20, 2002, a presentation of the group’s seventh album, entitled “FOREVA,” took place at CDK MAI. The album also received good support in the media. The song “I’m not kidding” is being successfully promoted in the “Chart Dozen” of “Our Radio”, and the video for this song received rotation on “MTV-Russia”.
Since June of the same year, NAIVA vocalist Alexander "Chacha" Ivanov has become a permanent expert in the Earth-to-Air program (TVS), representing the radio station ULTRA. Later, his own program “Beyond the Boundary” will appear on it, telling listeners about the most extreme representatives of modern rock culture.
On August 29, 2003, in the huge Adrenaline skatepark, a festival from the “Punks in the City” series was held, organized by the director and drummer of NAIVA Dmitry “Snake” Khakimov. A huge number of people attended this six-hour rock marathon - 2500 people!
The presentation of the album went off with a bang and gathered about 3,000 people in Gorbushka.
On December 11, 2003, NAIV celebrates its 15th anniversary at the Adrenalin SDS. The concert brought together more than 3,000 fans who came to congratulate NAIV on its anniversary.
According to the results of 2003, the newspaper "Moskovsky Komsomolets" NAIV is among the top three alternative groups countries.
In August 2004, NAIV performed at the INVASION festival in the village of Emmaus. NAIV's performance at this festival becomes one of the most exciting events.
On August 27, 2004, NAIV holds the 6th “Punks in the City” festival. This festival is becoming the most grandiose of its entire existence. It took place at the Luzhniki Stadium and, in addition to NAIVA, such groups as “King and Jester”, “Purgen”, “Elysium” and many others took part in it Russian rock bands. The festival brought together more than 4,000 people! Following the festival, a live album was released on DVD, CD, MC and VHS.
On October 10, 2004, NAIV released the concert album “Alive and Safe.” This is a live recording made at the band's 15th anniversary at the Adrenaline skatepark, as well as four new songs. One of the new songs, “Sa la vie (Such is life),” gets into hot rotation on “Our Radio” and has been in the “Chart Dozen” hit parade for several months. The video for this song is actively rotated by music channels.
Within a few months, "Alive and Safe" breaks sales records live albums among rock performers (official sales results for the year). In support of the new album, NAIV is giving a big tour of Russia.
Under the most New Year, December 24, NAIV performs in St. Petersburg together with the Leningrad group at the Yubileiny stadium.
IN New Year's Eve NAIV participates in the program “First Night with Oleg Menshikov” on the NTV channel with its own version of the pop singer Valeria’s song “Chasiki”.
On July 10, 2005, NAIV plays at the "INVASTION" festival in Almaty (Kazakhstan). July 24 at the "Wings" festival in Tushino. July 30 at the "Old Miller" festival in Chisinau (Moldova). August 5 at the festival "INVASION" in Emmaus ( main stage).
On September 8, Nashe Radio’s “Chart Dozen” will launch NAIVA’s new song “My Heart (Didn’t Stop).” The song stayed on this chart for more than 14 weeks and rose to 3rd place.
In October, NAIV is giving a joint tour with the group "King and the Clown" in support of the released tribute to the group "Gaza Strip", in which NAIV took part with the SG song "Near Your House".
On November 18, 2005, a tribute album to the NAIV group “Naive Songs” was released, in which Russian rock stars took part - “Leningrad”, “Agatha Christie”, “The King and the Clown”, “Pilot” and many others. 22 artists presented their versions of NAIV songs. On November 18, a presentation of the tribute album took place at the Tochka club.
On July 22, 2006, NAIV performed at the Emmaus festival, and on August 5 at the largest rock festival in the country, NASHESHVII.
In August, NAIV's new song "Illusion of Freedom" starts in the "Chart Dozen" of "Our Radio". The song stayed on this chart for more than 10 weeks and rose to 2nd place.
On September 1, NAIV releases its tenth album, “The Other Side of Love.” Recorded in 7 (!) studios, the group’s most expensive album of its entire existence also became the most successful in sales.
In the first month of sales alone, the circulation exceeded 25,000 copies.
Supported by all media, the album received the most flattering responses in the press.
In September 2006, NAIV was filming a new animated video, “Everyman.” It starts on all music TV channels.

In support of the new album, NAIV goes on a tour around the country.
The first month of the new year was marked for NAIV with the long-awaited “Concert on request” for fans of the group. All songs for the concert on January 20 at the Tochka club were chosen by the fans of the group themselves.
In February 2007, the group released a new video clip, “My Heart (Didn’t Stop).”
In November 2007, Nashe Radio launched a cover version of the King and the Jester's song "Memories of Past Love" performed by NAIVA. The song became the record holder in the entire history of NAIVA for being in the “Chart Dozen” of “Our Radio”. For more than three (!) months, the song held first place in the charts!
On December 1, 2007, NAIV releases the newest DVD "Alter Ego", the DVD includes a live concert recorded at a concert in the Moscow club "Shadow" on April 13, 2007. The DVD also includes bonus tracks and interviews with the band. "Alter Ego" already by the new year, 2008, becomes the sales leader among.
2008 is the year of the 20th anniversary of the NAIV group. The group arrived at this milestone with 10 released albums, 12 videos, thousands of concerts played and a huge army of loyal fans! It is impossible to overestimate the influence of NAIV on the domestic rock scene. Dozens of well-known and young bands have experienced, to one degree or another, the influence of NAIV on their music. The successful expansion of NAIV to the West, which resulted in two albums published in America and a grand tour throughout Europe, proves the quality and originality of the group.
The tour dedicated to the 20th anniversary and called “20 YEARS OF ROCK” will take place in dozens of cities in Russia and abroad. On this tour, NAIV prepared a special program for their fans, consisting of all the group’s hits and new songs. Many old songs will appear in new arrangements. The group also prepared special decorations and effects for the tour.
Immediately after the New Year 2009, NAIV goes on a new tour of Russia. However, on January 29, a statement appeared on the official website of the group about the departure of the NAIV group on an indefinite sabbatical. The team promised to complete all planned concerts, including a farewell concert in Moscow in April, and to release a collection best songs, and...disappear from the scene for an indefinite period of time

“We have started rehearsing new material that will form the basis for the next album,” said the band’s drummer Dmitry “Snake” Khakimov. According to the drummer, many surprises are expected on the disc.

Closer to December, the musicians are going to please fans of the first new composition. As for the album, according to Snake, it will be finished by the end of winter. Until this moment the group will not give any solo concert.
